good evening!sorry to hear of your issue.  Looking at your photos you appear to be in great shape with good tissues.  Your preoperative photos do not indicate overly stretched  tissues that may lead to suture dihiscence.  I think that a revision abdominoplasty with permanent sutures would very likely fix your problem.Be sure you consult with board certified plastic surgeons well versed in revision plastic surgery to repair this problem.I hope this helps

Thank you for your photo. A revision plication of the muscles can be performed. I generally prefer a double-layered plication with the deep layer comprised of a permanent suture. Regardless of the type of sutures or plication used, there is always risk that a plication becomes undone before the body is able to build enough permanent scar tissue on its own to hold it. Mesh may be an option but is often reserved for patients who's tissue quality is not strong enough to hold sutures. If you still have adequate tissue, then using sutures may be enough. I am sorry to hear about the complication you have experienced.  As you have seen, opinions will vary when it comes to the best way to manage a specific "problem". In my practice, I would likely offer you a repair utilizing permanent sutures (2 layered repair);  I have not found the need to use material such as mesh during these types of revisionary abdominoplasty procedures.
