Thank you for your question. It is very common to have swelling and "bloating" after a tummy tuck. At 6 weeks, you may still find a benefit in wearing a Spanx type garment during the day. My patients seem to do best if they wear one that is high waisted. This reduces upper abdominal swelling or bloating. The end result from surgery is 6-12 months, so be patient. I hope this helps.

You may benefit for a few more weeks. If you had muscle tightening it can take some time for the abdominal muscles to relax and get use to their new location so i wouldnt be too concerned about the changes after eating. Give it a full 6 mo and discuss with your plastic surgeon during your follow ups. Good luck!
