5 months after hair transplant, opinion on healing questions? (photos)

Question

1. Why is this zig zag pattern so noticiable?it looks unatural. What can i do? 2. No hairgrowth in the middle. should i be worried? 3.is my hairline with single or multi grafts? Thank you.

Sometimes clinics get too aggressive with the zigzag patterns.  It is good to add some variance to the hairline, but it needs to be subtle variances. As the hair gains some length, it should be less noticeable. As for the center area, it would be useful to see immediate post-op photos to see if grafts were placed in the area, and have not grown in.

Hi, It looks like you should try scrubbing off the scabs they should have fallen out by day 7 to 10 max. I would recommend calling your DR. and visiting  for a follow up.

There are too many variables for the hairline design and are related to each surgical case and to the hair surgeon training and experience. My suggestion is to see your hair surgeon for further evaluation including the no growth issue in the middle. Good luck.

You are right, that is not a natural hair growth pattern, and it is too early to really assess.  If this does not grow in as naturally as you like, you can probably fix it by adding additional hair to the whole area, or with laser hair removal to give it a more natural hairline shape. It is not possible to tell if the grafts are single or double from this photo but you can look in a mirror!  FUE can also be used but may leave scars at the hairline.  Bottom line, you should call your surgeon with these sort of questions - and for anyone NOT this patient who is reading this, make sure you trust your surgeon enough to be able to approach them afterward when you need post op care and have questions!Good luck!

You should return to see your doctor and ask him or her why they put in a zig zag pattern, something I don't use
