8 months post op, still have love handles, is it swelling or do I need a revision? (photos)

Question

I got lipo 360 and a tummy tuck on August 2nd, I am 8 months PO. My sides/love handles have bothered me since my surgery -very giggly and squeezable even now at 8 months PO. I don't feel comfortable to flaunt my new body in a bikini because they seem so out of place. My tummy is tight but my sides seem to be squished anytime I sit or lay back. I have discussed concerns with dr already, maybe a possible extension. Also seems like I am always swollen again even in mornings. 5'5 143lbs

I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

An examination is needed to be sure, but liposuction in those areas may remove excess fat and take care of the problem.

To view the results of a surgical outcome we need to judge proper before and after pictures which are taken in a standing position.

Judging results in a sitting position will always leave to skin folds because the skin is pushed together because of full hip flexion.

If patients had tight skin in all areas with their hips fully flexed that they wouldn’t be able to stand up.

Your pictures show a well done tummy tuck that does not have any major flaws or things done incorrectly. We can’t make a good assessment based on those pictures alone. If you want us to make an assessment please post proper before and after pictures showing the front, side and back.

For a quality assessment do you need an in person consultation.

It looks to me like you’re asking for the procedure to accomplish more than as possible if you expect not to have some skin folds in a sitting position. This doesn’t happen for anyone.
