This particular device has not been available for several years. While it is quite safe, it is not as effective as some other approaches to skin tightening.I would explore some other options before moving ahead with Aluma treatment.
I have not heardthat term in years – I did the FDA clinical work with Lumenis on this device –it is an RF device with an associated vacuum device that was available for skintightening, but for the most part, disappeared in the US market. There aredisposable tips associated with the device so unless they are still being soldby Lumenis, I would be reluctant to have that procedure done at this time.Having said that, there are several very important clinical studies out therethat have clearly demonstrated that if you have had filler injections done, RFenergy will NOT break down the fillers. In general RF will not breakdown fillers, the exception to this rule is that if fillers are placed very superfically (such as with acne scars).
