Subcision and TCA cross are also used for deep ice pick scars and narrow valley scars in order to improve the micro texture. Large pores are challenging to treat as they are genetically predetermined. One simple way to mask large pores is to use a powder, such as talc-based powders. Lasers that can help tighten the pores, such as RF microneedling or Fraxel laser treatments, are both collagen induction therapies that work well for this purpose. The devices create micro-channels in the skin that stimulate the body to produce more collagen. As connective tissue strengthens the dermal structure, the surface of the skin becomes smoother. Other treatments that work well for this issue include chemical peels and laser skin resurfacing. It creates focal zones of thermal injury which causes intense collagen stimulation and growth of new cells. Pores are best refined with AHA, tretinoin, microdermabrasions and microneedling. Pre size is largely genetic and can enlarge over time. Daily medications can help to keep them clean.

Microneedling helps with these enlarged pores as would a fractionated CO2 laser or fractionated radiofrequency (Sublative, Ematrix). I would also recommend using a retinol.
