Hi, thanks for your question. Based on your pic, you look pretty young. I appreciate your honesty in stating that you feel insecure by your appearance. I'd first focus on a couple features around your eyes that I believe will improve your overall look, before even getting to your eyes. Here are my recommendations:1) I'd like to treat your acne first! Skin that is smooth and blemish-free always looks more attractive. There are topical skin care kits that help, and sometimes oral medication is involved.2) I'd add some filler to your cheeks and around your eyes. This will add a softer touch to your appearance. 3) finally, I would treat your glabella, crowsfeet, and forehead with botox. We can try to symmeterize your eyebrows with botox. I would hold off on surgery as a last resort. Good luck! I wish you the best!
There are various causes for eye asymmetry. See an oculoplastic specialist for evaluation. See following video. Skype consult available.
Botox placed in the four head can adjust the asymmetrical eyebrows, while eyelid surgery can accomplish making the eyelids look more symmetrical.
The cause of your uneven upper eyelids is not excess skin of the upper eyelid, but crowding of the upper eyelid skin due to an asymmetry of your eyebrows. When one eyebrow is depressed, it crowds the upper eyelid. Correcting the brow asymmetry will likely correct the eyelid asymmetry. A brow lift appears to be your best option. There are many ways to correct brow asymmetry surgically. Consult with a facial specialist to determine the best approach for you. Botox may provide with a temporary solution but the location of your asymmetry may prove to be a challenge. You want your eyes more open, not more closed.John Standefer MD
Thanks for your question. Your eyelids are asymmetric, primarily because your brows are uneven. While looking in the mirror, use your finger to raise your right brow. Your should notice that the eyelids look a lot more even, at that point. Brow asymmetry is not unusual. It can be corrected by weakening the opposite side, with Botox. It can also be corrected by doing a surgical brow lift on the lower brow.
Icing or application of cool compresses is a common recommendation by plastic surgeons after eyelid surgery. If you use ice, in the form of a bag of small frozen vegetables, a gel pack or a plastic bag of ice cubes, make sure to place a cloth between your eye and the ice to prevent damage to the...
Your photographs show that you have ptosis on both sides. I would recommend consultation with an oculoplastic specialist in your area. Ptosis is the most likely diagnosis to explain your symptoms and appearance. (Blepharoplasty would not solve the problem.) Ptosis repair by an expert will give...
Your photograph (2nd and 3rd) show a birthmark. I would recommend seeing an Oculoplastic & Orbital specialist for a complete eyelid and orbital examination. Some birthmarks - such as those seen with Sturge Weber Syndrome - are associated with glaucoma and asymmetry of the orbits. Treatment...
