Is Breast Augmentation possible with pre-existing neck pain?

julie3frFeb 15, 2026

Hello, I'm a 40y.o. woman, 5'7"with a 36AA bra size (80AA EU size), and I'd like to have breast augmentation. However, I've had neck pain since I was younger, caused by a cervical spine issue. The pain isn't constant, but it comes and goes regularly. I tried the rice bag test to estimate the implant size I could ask for, and no matter what wright I put in it consistently triggered my neck pain after just one day, sometimes after just a few hours I know the rice bag test isn't entirely accurate in predicting the results of surgery, but to what extent? Can I still have breast augmentation without worsening my pain? If so, I imagine it would have to be moderate, but then how do I determine the size ? Would lipofilling be more suitable? My breasts are mostly glandular, and from what I understood this isn't the best option for fat transfer...
