My husband got prp for an injury. He was given the leftover plasma that didn’t have a high enough concentration of platelets. It is refrigerated. He was told he could use it in his skin. Is it safe to use it on mine?

Answer: I would not use it. It is generally not a good idea to use PRP that is not stored professionally by the medical office. I would refrain from using it. The fact that the office did not discard the unused PRP is something to be concerned about. Also PRP is harvested from each person for their own treatment and is not recommended to be used for another person.
