I've read about chin implant costs averaging around 6000$. From my knowledge, given that in this scenario it would be under local anaesthesia, the absence of an anaesthesiologist, OR time and circulating nurses significantly lessen the procedure's cost. Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

Answer: Cost of surgery Dear danlan123,the cost of surgery depends on a lot of factors (type of surgery, number of treated areas, anesthesia fee, surgeon, facility fee, city, etc.). It would be the best to visit or call plastic surgery offices and ask for a price.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery

Answer: How much would a chin implant cost under local anesthesia? In our practice, most patients undergo placement of a chin implant under local anesthesia to save the cost of not having to go under general anesthesia. Chin implants are usually placed through a small incision underneath the chin after the entire chin area is numbed up with lidocaine. The size and shape of the implant is best determined at the time of the consultation on examination, since there are many options available based on the specific needs of the patient. For many before and after examples of chin implants, please see the link and the video below
