Low dose Accutane for oily skin?

Low dosages of accutane, 10-20 mg weekly or biweekly are effective for oily skin, As long as the physician is experienced with the medication and you are monitored properly, this should help with your condition.For the best results please consult a board certified

Isotretinoin (eg. Accutane) can be  effective for the management of excessively oily skin. You will need to consult with your  physician  so that they can decide what the dosage and length of treatment will be.  Also, you want to make sure you are a good candidate, have periodic lab monitoring for side-effects, if you are female it is imperative that you adhere to proper pregnancy prevention.

Chronic low dose Accutane is off label. It is also off label for the treatment of oily skin.I have successfully treated patients with severe oily skin with Accutane in a manner similar to what you have described in your question.  It is more dangerous if you are a woman (you have not mentioned your sex) because of the risk of pregnancy while you are taking the medication.It is not a bad idea, but you need to work closely with your dermatologist.
