Wounds take 6-8 weeks to heal and they do not heal uniformly.  If you are concerned about poor healing or infection, please speak to your plastic surgeon. 

An examination is needed to know for sure but this may be a suture end that has come to the surface. If so this is easily treated in your surgeon's office. Once the suture material has been removed the area tends to heal quickly with minimal home care.

Thank you for your question.  It is always concerning when you are not sure about your healing.  It is difficult to say for sure by just looking at the photo, but things like this are not uncommon.  Quite often an incision may develop a little red spot which opens up and then becomes a white spot.  This is due to some inflammation around suture material (stitches) which are placed beneath the skin surface.  This is called suture spitting.  By itself it is not cause for alarm.  Rarely does this get worse and potentially develop infection.  There are other reasons for such problems as well.  Therefore it is best to contact your surgeon so that they can examine you and advise you in person.
