Question

I have done CO2 treatment 2 days ago and my face have tiny black dotted. Is it normal to have that and is it ok if i apply mask such as fenugreek mask? When i can wear makeup?

Hi Nazareth, thanks for the question. Based on your picture, you appear to be healing normal. Small, dark dots may appear on the skin as pigment rises to the surface. Expect them to fall off on their own over the course of the next week. Make sure not to pick them off, as this increases the chance of scarring
I recommend touching base with your medical office to ensure you are healing as planned. They will also be the best resource to guide you in use of make-up, masks and other skin care products. In general, it is important to be patient and allow your skin ample time to heal before returning to your regular skincare routine. Do not apply products without approval from the dermatologist who performed the treatment, even “natural” or “organic” products. The right skincare products can speed your healing and enhance your results, but the wrong ones can interrupt recovery and delay results.

This is often seen following fractional laser 2 days ago. I would check with your laser physician about how to handle the post laser skin care. It is actually possible to hurt the skin and your results if something irritating is applied to the skin too soon. I have had patients assume that since something is "natural or botanical" that it would be OK to use, but freshly lasered skin is very fragile and has to be treated very delicately. I would also ask your physician when it would be alright to wear makeup since he or she knows the level of treatment that was given. Best of luck!
