Answer: Gynecomastia male breast reduction male breast liposuction male breast cancer risk Hi DFSGN, Thank you for your question regarding the incidence of male breast cancer after gynecomastia surgery. There is minimal to no increased chance of developing male breast cancer after gynecomastia surgery. In fact your chance of developing male breast cancer may decrease after gynecomastia surgery. The reason is that if you remove the source of male breast cancer, namely male breast tissue, then you may reduce the incidence or risk of developing male breast cancer. This has been shown to be true in several medical articles in females who undergo breast reduction surgery. As your plastic surgeon said, the pain you have is probably a collection of blood or scar tissue this point. This should resolve with time. Again, gynecomastia surgery does not increase the risk of developing male breast cancer. I hope that I have answered your question. If you have any more questions regarding gynecomastia or male breast reduction surgery, please contact my office. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen.

Answer: 1 yr lump The chances of getting a blood clot in your breast 1 year after surgery is exceptionally rare. The chances of getting breast cancer are even more rare. A pain or lump 1 year after surgery usually is due to internal scar tissue. I recommend you be examined by your surgeon again if this does not improve w manual massage and exercise after 1 month.

Answer: After Gynecomastia Surgery, What Is The Chance Of Breast Cancer? In general, the chance of breast cancer in a gynecomastia is about 12%. After a well done gynecomastia procedure with both fat and gland removal, I would imagine the chance of breast cancer would have been reduced to about 0%. At one year post gynecomastia surgery, the chance of a blood clot under the nipple, in my opinion, would be very unlikely. It has been my experience that if the surgeon leaves a small button of breast tissue under the nipple, at times, the patient may experience growth of that breast tissue due to breast tissue stimulants such as androgenic steroids, marijuana, or certain medications. At this point, I think it would be appropriate to consult your personal plastic surgeon and see if he or she did leave some breast gland and if that might be the problem.

Answer: After gyno surgery any chance of male breast cancer? Thank you for sharing your question. After a year it would be extremely uncommon to have developed a hematoma or blood clot within the chest and I would seek a second opinion. To answer your question, however, the chances of developing breast cancer is near zero. Hope this helps.

Answer: Male breast cancer risks The risk of developing breast cancer after gynecomastia surgery, assuming that it was done well, is really, really low. So, that's one stress out of the way. Second, the chances of developing a hematoma or blood clot under the nipple 1 year after surgery is basically unheard of. I would suggest that you schedule an appointment to see your surgeon so he can examine your chest in person. Best of luck.
