3 months after reduction, I have painful lines that are visible and palpable extending from under breast to abdomen.

Question

Within the last few weeks I have developed a tight, ripping feeling from under my left breast that extends over my ribs to my abdomen.After it intensified I checked the mirror and was shocked to be able to see 2lines pulling tightly.I went back to the surgeon and he said it was probably just nerves regenerating and normal and that I need to continue to massage(which I've done faithfully)and start stretching(I already do).Until now, I have had virtually no pain after surgery. Is this normal?

They look like Mondor's cords, a small and not completely unusual complication of breast surgery. They would generally resolve spontaneously, but warm packs and ibuprofen may help.

These are actually inflamed veins called Mondor's disease.  These will improve with time, massage and advil.

These may represent Mondor's cords which are superficial thrombophlebitis. This is often treated with anti-inflammatories and warm compresses. Best to see your surgeon.
