Hello Dynamic623188, Thank you for your question regarding a receding hairline. I do believe you have a receding hairline. This can be due to many factors including genetics, hormone levels, trauma, etc. Unfortunately, topical minoxidil (Rogaine) and finasteride (Propecia or Prosper) pills do not work very well on these areas. The best solution is hair transplant surgery. The best form of hair transplant surgery for you would be follicular unit extraction or FUE. During follicular unit extraction surgery, individual hairs are removed from the back of your head. A single hair is removed one hair at a time. Then, the hair is transplanted to your receding hairline. Since you have a lot of hair, your hairline could be brought fairly far forward. I hope this helps to answer your question regarding a receding hairline and how to correct it with hair transplant surgery. Good luck! Sincerely, Dr. Katzen.
