Does elasticity return to the scalp after an FUT procedure?

The elasticity may return but could take longer in some patients than others. There may be a tightness in the scalp after the procedure but the skin will adapt and stretch. It varies. Some patients have more laxity than others.

The elasticity of the donor area does improve after a strip surgery. The length of time is variable and can be in 3 months or can take 12. Although the elasticity does improve with time, the scalp frequently gets tighter with successive procedures, although scalp stretching exercises do make a significant difference. 

Elasticity will improve in time after surgery but will never be as good as it was before surgery.  After several procedures you will reach a point where you have little elasticity left.

Elasticity  of the scalp  skin will not be same as before surgery  but  you  may  increase the elasticity with scalp  massage or intralesional fat injection .stem cells in fat tissue causes remodelling of the scar and make the skin softer and more elastic. 

The elasticity in your scalp after a Strip surgery will return in time. Some people find it return in a month while other can take up to a year
