Why do doctors keep doing CO2 lasers when there are so many people who are devastated because it ruined their skin?

i did a co2 laser treatment to improve damage already done from infini rf. It made my crepey skin worse, made orangepeel texture worse, and made scars appear worse. So many people including myself are getting their faces ruined. If so many people are devestated because of fraxel and co2 why is this even legal? Isn't orangepeel skin and crepey skin do to loss of elasticity and collagen? Aren't these lasers obviously damaging peoples skin and not helping it? Why would anyone do this to someone's face
