Are Kenalog Injections Effects Permanent?

I recently had Kenalog injections on my face to treat Alopecia Barbae. I am noticing some hair growing back, but more than that, I'm also noticing some small pits, or dents. I am very concerned if these are going to be permanen. Will they go away?

Small pits or dents may be permanent with kenalog injections.  It generally means too much of the medication was used.  It may actually get worse and change in color (whiter/ more pale).

You are experiencing skin atrophy from steroid effect. It results from loss of the underlying fat tissue. It may or may not be permanent. Your doctor can correct it by injecting dermal fillers. Do laser resurfacing.

Steroids work wonders in many conditions, but on occasion and especially with prolonged use, can cause atrophy of the dermis under the skin. This causes dents or pits in the skin which may be permanent.
