2 days post breast lift and augmentation, is this nipple bruising or necrosis? (photo)

Hello, I saw my ps yesterday for my 2 day post op breast lift and augment and noticed this purple discoloration on my nipple. My ps surgeon said it was normal bruising and it will go away. I trust him but would like second opinions. I have included a pic. Thanks!

Thanks for your question and the photo. You will likely lose the superficial skin, but unlikely it is complete loss. The Nitrobid can definitely help. Your swelling likely has peaked and hopefully things will start improving. Your surgeon should see you sooner than later. Best of Luck!
