What's the best way to treat broken capillaries from acne?

I have areas of broken capillaries on my cheeks from acne, will an exfoliating mitten (Baiden Mitten) make these worse? Will use of Epiduo make it worse? Will dermaroller and Vit C serum help fade the redness away?

As a dermatologist, it is very unusual to see "broken capillaries" secondary to acne. Old acne lesions often show as post inflammatory erythematous flat macules, that can take months to heal.It would be a good idea to see a dermatologist, to ensure that your acne is treated, either with topical +/or systemic therapy. Once the acne is under control, especially if you are using topical Vitamin A acid product, the red macules should fade with time.

The best way to treat these is to get control of the acne to reduce the inflammatory condition(s) and increased blood flow in the area due to inflammation and infection. Once the acne is controlled and heals, IPL can be successful and/or use of long pulse lasers such as the Nd YAG. Acne scars can also be treated concurrentlt with sublative RF technology like eMatrix.
