I am a 40 year old active female and have recently lost weight/fat, and now my face is looking very aged beyond my years. I will be doing Ulthera to help with the sagging; however, my main complaint is large, prominent forehead veins. When I smile, or make any expression, they pop out... I now hate to have my picture taken. I have consulted on sclerotherapy treatment, but the risks of losing hair and staining are out of the question. I have read that fat transfer can be used.
Answer: Forehead Veins There are many that claim to do sclerotherapy for these veins, but I have seen horrific results from this. My suggestion is to get filler in the forhead to camoflage the veins and do laser and skin care treatments to improve texture and tone, and make these less noticeable. I used to do a lot of ultherapy but find better results with thermage plus venus legacy for the face, especially if used in combination with sculptra and other laser treatments for texture/tone/pores. I suggest seeing a cosmetic dermatologist with experience who thinks outside the box. there are alot of doctors in LA who do these procedures, but not a lot who give personalized care and are innovative experts. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Temple veins Weight loss and aging can contribute to loss of subcutaneous tissue of the face, especially in the temple regions. Some patients can have very hollow temples that have veins traversing through these areas. I would recommend having filler, such as Volift injected into these hollows, so that they are less deep, and the veins will not be as obvious. Ensure that the injector is an experienced cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon when this treatment is performed.
