I had a BBL, it was too big and was revised via liposuction. It has resulted in a shelf which seems to be skin and fat, what I technique, would you recommend to get rid of the shelf and have a more natural appearance?
Answer: BBL revision Dear LeeluSA, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: BBL Reduction / Revision The excess fullness in the upper buttocks would need to be reduced. This reduction is achieved by removing some of the fat in that zone to create less of a shelf and more of a natural slope. To be clear, I am talking about removing some of the fat that was transferred to the buttocks in the past. The removal is achieved through one tiny hidden incision in the midline buttock crease. No general anesthesia required. It is performed safely in the office with oral sedation and complete local anesthesia.

Answer: BBL revision Very likely that further, very conservative liposuction/ shaping of the upper buttocks, would create softer transition between waist and buttocks . In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon with good reputation in body contouring is recommended. Good luck.

Answer: BBL results To make an assessment on the outcome of a plastic surgery procedure we generally need to see proper before and after pictures. If you’ve had more than one operation it, then you should include a before and after pictures for each of the procedures. Without understanding what you look like before we can’t really understand what was done during the procedure. If you don’t have a proper before, and after pictures and ask your surgeon to forward, the pictures they took. Skill, experience, and what patients ask for vary dramatically from case to case and without having context to all this information, it’s difficult to really pinpoint why results Looks the way it does. Generally, speaking, excess subcutaneous fat is removed with Liposuction, fat, can sometimes be added with fat, transfer and problems related to skin laxity are best to treated with skin excision. The first step is generally to make an assessment of what the underlying problem is, and what tissues are involved. You don’t have proper before and after pictures and I suggest gathering those first. Generally speaking the first course of action is the follow up with the provider who did your procedure. Discuss your concerns with him or her. If you want a proper second opinion, consultation then schedule those in person consultations coming prepared bringing with you all before, and after pictures and copies of your previous operative reports.
