I'm seeking advice on methods for increasing chin height without much horizontal advancement. Are custom chin implants or the miniwing osteotomy suitable options for this?

You have a history of a deep bite and there is evidence of a recessive chin in your photos so you are a candidate for a sliding genioplasty. Since the amount of chin recession is not severe, a chin implant is a possibility as well. Either will improve your overall facial balance.
You may be a candidate for a second sliding genioplasty. The plates and screws are removed and a second genioplasty is performed and further advancement can be achieved. Jaw surgery is not recommended since you have a normal bite.
Personally, I don’t think wearing a retainer will have any impact, but different providers will have different opinions.
If you have had surgery or are about to have surgery, you should ask your surgeon.
