I had 445cc high profile silicone under muscle breast implants put in and feel they sag and getting double bubble I am 5 weeks post op. I am not happy with my results , I feel like they sag . One is bigger than the other which I had that problem before but was out same size implant in both breast. Also have no cleavage which is mainly what I wanted and I feel like double bubble is occurring on one breast. What do I do ?
Answer: Post Op Double Bubble? Hi Cristinaaxo, Thank you for sharing your photos, Cristinaaxo. At 5 weeks post op, you are still in the early stages of the healing process and your breasts tissues are still swollen at this time. Also, your implants have not settled into their final position yet. It can take about 6 months for your implants to drop and fluff. Though rare, some women who undergo breast augmentation will develop a minor deformity known as a “double bubble,” in which additional folds appear underneath the breasts due to the implant accidentally shifting or contracting post-surgery. In most cases, the implant simply slipped too far down the chest wall and traveled behind the breast inframammary crease (the area where the lower breast meets the chest), instead of moving forward to fill the breast cavity. If left untreated, the lopsided implant will form unnatural indentations, resulting in an odd “four-breast effect” rather than the full, rounded chest the patient initially desired. If you are still concerned and after 6 months, you are still not satisfied with the outcome of your breast augmentation surgery, you should visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment and to discuss your options for breast revision surgery. Answer: Double Bubble and breast asymmetry..... It does appear that you have a mild double bubble. However, you do not have any signs of drooping. A double bubble can occur when you have very dense breast tissue along with a higher crease on one side that needs to be lowered. I assume that your right breast was the smaller breast and probably had a higher crease that your surgeon lowered. It appears that your surgeon was able to get both implants into a fairly symmetric position, but in doing so, lowered your crease on that side which can result in a double bubble. This is also often related to getting a larger than ideal implant for your breast. Double Bubble can often be corrected by reconstructing the crease back where it was and placing a smaller implant. But this is not always acceptable when a patient wants large breasts. It can also sometimes be corrected by placing the implants on top of the muscle. DiscoverTheBeauty.com
