Hello Nora,In patients with severe skeletal structure disorders, jaw (orthognathic) surgery is used to improve the appearance of the jaw and correct the resulting functional and aesthetic disorders. Have you had a jaw surgery consult with a surgeon yet? If you are looking for cosmetic and fonctional prodecures, I would recoomend a double jaw surgery. The prodecure will bring your bottom jaw and chin forward and slightly up, will bring your top jaw slightly forward. Creating more support for lower face while adding lenght and definition to your jaw line, and funtionally will improve you airway space , better bite and chewing. We almost always recommend a double jaw surgery for Class II patients (like your case) over genioplasty due to its benefits and predictability.
