Is it bad that the tip of my nose is numb and sometimes tingly after hard hit to nose? (Photos)

Question

my dogs head hit my nose. My boyfriend said he heard a cracking/ popping noise. It immediately started bleeding horribly so I went to the er. The X-ray said it's not displaced but it was reccomended that I see and ENT when the swelling goes down, I have an appointment on Monday. I am worried because 6 years ago I had septo/rhinoplasty and I believe they put fake cartilage in my nose to reinforce its structure and after being hit the tip of my nose is numb. How bad of a situation am I looking at?

Numbness can occur and it is usually self limited.  You should have your nose evaluated at the earliest opportunity and certainly within less than a week,  by someone who performs rhinoplasty.  This  is uncommon but important, as if you have any blood clots (hematomas) in your nose these need to be drained in a timely fashion as they can lead to a significant problem.

The numbness may be due to swelling from the trauma. You are best seen in person and possibly by your original surgeon who will know your history well.
