Thanks for your question. Hopefully by now everything is back to normal, and you don't have any scarring. Sometimes too aggressive peeling of the skin or a scab can result in a scar, but if you use good sun protection and gentle skin treatments, it is less likely that you have created permanent damage. It sounds like you might have had post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, which is common in any injury to the skin if it has rich pigmentation naturally. If the area still appears concerning to you, see a dermatologist for evaluation. Best of luck!
Thank you for your question, It is best that you have this assessed by your specialist to make sure everything's healing as expected. The brown pigmentation you're describing sounds like post inflammatory hyperpigmentation which can occur after any procedure. Pigmentation changes can occur and will fade over time, but this process can take 3-4 months for some people depending on the type of procedure done. Make sure to protect the skin from direct sunlight to prevent further pigmentation changes, I recommend to use a physical block daily. Also, multiple laser toning treatments can help to even out the skin tone and lighten the hyperpigmentation. You will notice an improvement after a few treatments, but discuss with your specialist if you would be a candidate for laser toning and review any risks or side effects for this.I hope this helps.Regards,Sheetal Sapra, MD, FRCPC
Thanks for your question and photos. Hopefully by now you have healed fully and are under the care of a dermatologist who is helping you with your acne scars. If you think about it, the scars are not superficial, so peeling them with home acids of any kind can definitely...

Hopefully by now things are dramatically improved, but that does appear consistent with a burn you got from the peel. 70% glycolic acid is quite strong and definitely is too strong for the delicate undereye area. You might have some mild scarring, but hopefully not. Always...
Hi and thanks for your question. If you truly have a darker skin tone as you indicated, you will definitely want to be cautious with chemical peels. Make sure you go to a board certified dermatologist and get their in-person evaluation and recommendations before embarking on any...
Absolutely the combination of acids might be too much for your skin and may be causing uneven tone and texture. I would stick with professionally recommended products as cleansers and leave-on creams or solutions so you don't mix and match too much, causing irritation. The skin is a...
Hi, Sorry that you have developed this. Use a good emollient with allantoin which will calm down the irritated skin. Sunscreens with a good spf will protect your skin without developing any complications like PIH. But be sure of what kind of product you are using. Kindly visit a board c...
