Depending on the advice from your injecting physician, it may be twenty four to forty eight hours after your Voluma treatment that it's safe to continue with your Retin-A at home skin care. I typically advise patients to discontinue Retin-A usage forty eight hours before and after their injection therapy whether it's Voluma, Radiesse, Restylane, Juvederm or Botox. Temporary bruising or swelling after Voluma is normal especially if you have very thin or sensitive skin, however most patients do not have bruising after Voluma injections. At our practice I use the VBeam Perfecta laser to speed the healing of the bruised area after injections if needed (also used for redness, rosacea and broken capillaries.)Good luck.
You should discuss this with the physician performing your injections. I typically tell my patients that they should wash their face the same day after treatment and restart any skin regimen the next morning - that would include Retin A. Some doctors recommend patient massage of the injected areas, and some do not - I do have my patients avoid aggressive massage in the area of injections for at least 3 days in most cases.
