Breast reduction at age 70. Am I too old?

The most important factor is that you are in good health. Many patients your age and older have breast reduction surgery. As long as you get clearance from your doctor, you should do fine. Breast reduction surgery is one of the most patient pleasing procedures performed. Good luck!

Age alone is never a contraindication to surgery even breast reduction surgery.  Whether or not you should undergo breast reduction surgery is more a matter of your general health.  If you are other wise healthy and do not have significant comorbidities (other health issues) you should consider it especially  if you've come to the conclusion that your breast size has detracted from you ability to enjoy life to the fullest. However, it is imperative that you discuss this with your primary physician and he is in agreement.

Thank you for the question.You are absolutely not “too old” for the breast reduction procedure assuming you are “cleared" for the procedure by your medical doctor. Hopefully, your only regret after the procedure, will be that you wish you had done it sooner in life.
