Hi. I think I have retrognathia, as I can clearly see that there is a problem with jaw alignment,teeth don't meet and It's difficult to open my mouth, bad that I didn't find this out before as I simply thought it was a matter of bad teeth alignment. Now,I'm really concerned and I'm going mad as I HATE my profile. But at the same time I don't want to go through such a heavy operation and recovery that jaw surgery would imply. Can something (chin fillers, etc) be done to improve my profile?

Chin augmentation can successfully improve your profile. It can be done with implants or a sliding genioplasty, each with their own advantage or disadvantages. Have computer imaging done to see what dimensional changes to the chin look best for you.

Chin implants are a  great solution when patients have retrognathia. A chin implant will have no bearing on how your teeth fit together/ alignment. Computer imaging would also help you see what your new chin would look like on your facial features. Chin implants are manufactured in a variety of sizes and shapes which is best determined at the time of consultation and examination.
