I had a Breast lift almost 3 weeks ago and now they are infected. Please help! My doctor, Dr Ishan Basaran is ignoring my calls once he saw the pictures of my infection. I went to a local nurse (I'm in thailand). And she took out some of the stitches as she said they were infected and that they should have dissolved by now. What do I do! The wound is gapping open. Am I gonna have a massive scar? I'm devastated that my body has been ruined forever
Answer: Incision For now, you need to do proper wound care and be followed by a physician to make sure you are healing well. A culture would be helpful to know what kind of bacteria is present. Once healed, the scar can be revised later. Please go visit with your surgeon.

Answer: Revision should be done on this followed by Vbeam laser treatments Plastic surgery scars require attention after surgery so that they remain cosmetically-appealing and barely noticeable. In our office, we use a protocol for scars that minimizes their activity in the 6-8 weeks after surgery. If you have late plastic surgery scars, you may also require laser and RF therapy to help reduce the longterm effects of the scarring. Keloids, hypertrophic scars, widened scars, red scars, and hyperpigmented scars all require scar modulation with topical creams followed by lasers and RF therapy. Topical skincare should be directed to a specific need, whether for pigmentation or hypertrophy and our office can guide you through the process to obtain the correct Plato’s Scar cream or Melarase cream for hypertrophy and discoloration. In terms of lasers, we would employ the vbeam laser for redness, Venus Viva RF, PRP microneedling, chemical peels, and Morpheus 8, fractional erbium, or fractional co2. All of these have their individual benefits. Most of all, we recommend you visit a solid plastic surgeon who understands surgical scar revision, laser therapy, and RF therapy for scars. Answer: Breast lift incision Dear Nikki_Veva,this type of wound is not uncommon after breast lift. It is usually caused by poor blood flow. I would suggest you to consult your plastic surgeon, follow your surgeon's instructions and keep your wound clean and covered. It can take few weeks or months for wound to fully heal. Answer: Breast Lift Recovery Thank you for your question and submitting your photos. Some of the urgency with which you will need to seek care will depend on whether or not you had implants placed at the time of the lift. The risk of implant exposure definitely makes finding qualified care a priority. Although the open wounds may appear unsightly right now, the body is an amazing thing and most open wounds will go on to heal with much better appearing scars than what you might originally think. The biggest key to success moving forward is finding a qualified plastic surgeon who can peform and examination and assessment and partner with you in getting healed. Best wishes on a speedy recovery.
