An exam by a board certifed plastic surgeon would be required to answer your question. It all depends on which parts of the ear need to be made larger.

I would assume one of 2 things:1. Suture reaction 2. Hypertrophic scar from "sore"If the nodule is firm, #2 is more likely. A suture could still be the underlying problem.
