How soon after mole removal can I do CO2 laser? (photos)

Question

I had 2 moles removed (shaved and then burned) from my face 2 weeks ago. In a few days I am scheduled for my 3rd treatment of Fraxel CO2 laser. Should I wait to do the 3rd treatment because my scars from the mole removal are still fairly fresh? One mole was removed from the right side of my nose and the other my left cheek

Hello and thank you for your question. Healing should be complete after 10 days. If you have any discharge or inflammation from the mole sites I would wait an additional week. If not I would proceed with your planned procedure. Best of luck to you.

In general, expect a mole removal scar to take at least two to three weeks to heal. Therefore, anytime after that time period would be okay for you to do the Co2 treatment. Some methods to reduce scarring should be started once the wound is healed. But initial care for the wound is essential for preventing infection and giving you the best chance at minimal scarring.
