Is it normal that my skin is still oily after consuming Accutane for a year and a half?

I have been consuming accutane for about 1 and a half year now but my skin is still kind of oily at night. Is this normal? I have been wanting to stop the medication but are advised against by my doctor and my skin becomes oily after not consuming.
