I have traction alopecia since the time i was able to grow hair because my mom combed it really tight in a top knot. How much grafts do i need?
Answer: Likely no Normally, you need to see a doctor for an examination before considering a treatment. If you have traction alopecia, you still need to see a doctor for an examination. If your doctor happens to recommend surgery, you would need written permission from your mother.

Answer: Hair today- gone tomorrow? The cause of your hair loss may also be partly due to early onset male pattern hair loss. In any case age 15 is too young for hair transplant surgery. You should be examined by a board certified dermatologist with extensive experience in hair loss, such as myself to confirm your diagnosis. There are medications, which may be more appropriate to try prior to resorting to a surgical solution. In general hair transplants are not considered until a patient is 25 years of age.

Answer: Hair transplant at 15 Even for traction alopecia, I would not advise a transplant at 15. It's hard to predict what will happen to your hairline over the next 5-8 years as you undergo two processes1. normal maturation of the hairline2. possible genetic hair lossThe earliest conservative procedure would be early to mid 20sSeek numerous opinions

Answer: 15 and hair loss Hair loss in a 15 year old first needs a diagnosis. If you have genetic hair loss and it can be documented with good Bulk Mearurements with the Hair Check instrument, then the doctor should consider, with your parents permission, putting you on the drug finasteride which works very well for genetic hair loss in teenagers
