Hi! I’m 26 years old with a tear through on my left eye circled in blue for you. I would like to know what I can do to get rid of it or make it look like the other under eye? Currently I’m not comfortable getting injections of fillers into the tear through and I would like to know what else I could do to get rid of it? Is there a laser that could get rid of this or anything other than filler? Thank you.

Answer: Need to come in to consult For unique cases where a variety of modalities could be used to treat the condition, I would suggest an in-person or virtual consultation to develop a custom and effective treatment plan. It is difficult to precisely define the best option without collecting the same information. I suggest reaching out to an expert for a consultation with surgical and non-surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Getting rid of a tear trough Unfortunately, the single photograph you provided, does not give enough information to determine the treatment plan. My recommendation is to have an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon. If what looks like a bag is really a bone, fat grafting into the tear trough will easily correct that condition once, and for all. On the other hand if during the physical examination, it is determined that what looks like a bag is one, then a transconjuctival blepharoplasty would be the best approach. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City Plastic Surgery.
