In answer to your question, I have been injecting robust HA fillers over implants, whether chin, cheek or jawline, with gratifying results for quite a few years already. So, it should not be a problem at all, and will take only about five minutes or so to perform in experienced (with little to no significant post-treatment downtime) for an experienced injector to inject the necessary filler to smooth out the chin. At the same time, this case illustrates exactly what I have been writing about and cautioning my readers for many years about. The thought of getting a permanent implant, typically misinterpreted as meaning a permanent correction, for chin, cheeks, etc. is admittedly enticing. However, the results, contrary to what is promised, are not really permanent, since there are always inevitable changes in the surrounding and underlying tissues, as have occurred here, that will necessitate further treatment, such as surgical removal of the original implant and replacement with another implant) (accompanioed by the discomfort, expense and downtime this will entail or alternatively the supplemental use of filler.) So, I ask, why suffer the pain, expense, downtime in the first place when robust HA fillers can be used in place of the surgery and be easily supplemented when necessary when the time comes--especially if that is what will done anyway a few years after implant surgery. You would be wise to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist and best of luck.
