Pain in right breast shooting to under arm and to back, and painful to touch, is this capsular contracture or sign of infection?

Dear quick question,I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. Some patients experience pain months after breast augmentation. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. It is hard to give you a definitive answer without an examination. Your symptoms are concerning for possible capsular contracture but there are other potential causes of discomfort/pain which may require exam, ultrasound, MRI, mammography or other interventions to fully assess. Neuropathic pain, muscle spasm, capsular contracture, and even delayed presentation of an indolent infection could be possible. Some patients experience pain that takes a year or more to subside and may not have a diagnostic answer easily rendered. I recommend you see your plastic surgeon for an examination.
