When can I expect my tight & hard muscles to relax after abdomen & flank laser liposuction?

I am one week out from my abdomen & flanks laser liposuction procedure. The results look great but I noticed that on my left side there is a super hard muscle which does not match my right side. It seems odd...should massage the muscle to relax it? Is this normal? When should I see both sides of my abdomen match.

Yes this can for sure be the case.  all of my liposuction patients are directed in a proper low salt high protein diet with exercise after liposuction and get diuretics to decrease swelling faster.  I would speak to your treating physician if you are concerned.  Best, Dr. Emer.
