If still shedding 8 weeks into using 5% rogaine what does it tell you about the type of hair loss you have?

If there is no improvement and hair is still shedding after usinf regaine for 8 weeks what does it tell you about the type of hair loss? Does hormonal/imbalance hairloss respond to regaine?

This needs an in-person evaluation. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hair loss expert to go over your test results, condition and advise you on best treatment options. In our office, we use progesterone and prp with great results. Hair transplantation is an alternative. See an ex...

I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hair loss expert to go over your condition and advise you on best treatment options. There are great non-invasive options like prp/progesterone and/or hair transplantation. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

It is unlikely that Rogaine caused this. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. A combination of fillers, lasers and microneedling/prp may give improvement. Best, Dr. Emer

If hair growth is going to occur with the use of Rogaine (Minoxidil), it usually occurs after the medicine has been used twice daily for at least 3 to 6 months and lasts only as long as the medicine continues to be used. Unfortunately, Rogaine will not cure your hair loss...
