Microneedling pen - just once over areas?

Question

So I went for micro needling today and she used the pen, its bugging me if it was right she only went over every area once. Every video that I have seen they go over the area 2 even 3 times in different directions, I have bad acne scaring I need it, im feeling short changed and I didnt bleed.

This is difficult to give you an answer. It is too soon to see improvement. Acne scars require a combination approach and need a series of treatments. I recommend microneedling/prp combined with lasers, subcision and fillers. See an expert in acne scarring for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer

A minimum of three passes is needed for a good Microneedling procedure. I often treat problem areas with many more passes at greater depth for an augmented response.  All the best,   Dr. Clark
