Hello, I did 2 chemical peels for my acne. It did a good job, but I still have some scars and pigmentation left. I have heard that microneedling is good for that kind of issue. First question :Do you suggest something else? Second question: how long should I wait after a chemical peel to do microneedling?

Hello and thank you for your question. In most cases you should wait two weeks after a chemical peel to have microneedling. However, this time frame can vary based on the strength of the chemical peel. It is possible to have the microneedling before two weeks if the chemical peel is not very strong.

Acne scars are usually characterized within the subtypes of atrophic, hypertrophic, pigmented, or inflammatory. It depends on which acid and strength your practitioner used. I usually want a full 2-4 week interval to ensure proper healing if a client has had a more intense chemical peel. Hope this helps.
