Most of the time my anesthesiologist will use a LMA rather than intubate patients. There are advantages to each, and you should discuss it with your anesthesiologist and surgeon.
For most surgeries in which you do not need to be turned over (such as liposuction of the entire body, or a circumferential body lift) we generally use an LMA. This a tube which does not go in your windpipe or vocal cords like traditional intubation. The LMA just rests in the back of your throat. For less invasive procedures, such as eyelids, facelift, minor liposuction, you many not need any tube at all and can be treated with IV sedation or "Twilight" anesthesia. Good Luck.
Intubation is primarily used when performing these procedures to ensure your safety. The method and type of anesthesia used is based on the procedure as well as your medical history. I encourage you to speak with your surgeon and anesthesiologist about what is safest for your particular situation.
Thank you for your question. Yes, in my practice we use general, endotracheal anesthesia for a variety of reasons during the tummy tuck and breast reduction surgery. Safety is always the first priority and that is why we perform our procedures in an outpatient surgery center on the campus of a hospital and only work with Board Certified Anesthesiologists for our procedures. I hope this helps.

Great question! Whenever we recommend compression garments after surgery (all liposuction patients and many "lift or tighten" operations), we provide them at the time of surgery, and my nursing staff has a huge selection of sizes and types of garment in stock. Since we...
By brining the drains out of the incision, you avoid a scar in the mons area. 99% of the time I bring the drains out of the incision as I feel this give a nicer overall result. Good Luck.
Based on your photos, it looks more like a contact dermatitis, than an infection. This can occur from tapes, adhesives, Prineo, and a host of other products. We don't know which product has caused you to react. I'd stop the use of all products, except for very mild soaps...
