6 months PO from TT with floating belly button. Do I need a complete revision with a different surgeon? (Photos)

6 months PO from tummy tuck while floating belly button, muscle repair and lipo to flanks. I have a large indentation on my upper left abdomen. Below my belly button is tight and smooth. Above my belly button is the indentation and lumpiness. Is this scar tethering, scar adhesion, post lipo-suction fibrosis or uneven lipo suction? I also have crazy midline wrinkling across my middle abdomen. Is this central line tethering or midline scar banding? I also have dog ears. What would you recommend to fix these issues and should I seek a different surgeon? 48 YO. 5'7 130 pounds. Main issue was diastasis recti on a small frame. Rounded pooch.

It is very likely that your scar can be lowered; it depends on skin mobility how much. That can be evaluated only on the basis of in person evaluation. The longer you wait the better. Good luck.

Thank you for your question and photos. I assume these are all postoperative photos after your panniculectomy. That is not an abdominoplasty by definition, no matter what your surgeon named it. The panniculectomy is covered by insurance in most instances, an abdominoplasty is not. If you want to...

Based on these photos, it appears that lowering of the lateral extensions of the abdominoplasty scar would be possible. However, only an in-person evaluation can allow a surgeon to make such a decision. Good luck.
