Is minoxidil 2 leads to facial hair growth?

If you put topical minoxidil on your head it should not grow facial hair.  In rare cases some women report peach fuzz hairs growing on their face.

Minoxidil is FDA approved for genetic hair loss in women. Without seeing your scalp and pattern of hair loss I can't comment if you have genetic hair loss or not. But 1:20 women (i.e. 5 % of women) using minoxidil will develop facial hair growth. 

there is no scientific studies that show there is facial hair growth With the use of minoxidil. However some of my patients who used minoxid for their scalp notice facial hair growth, so it may be helpful. You can try it for a few months and see if it works for you. 

Hair loss can, at times, be helped by minoxidil but not always. You should probably seek a doctors advice, one on one. Temporary hair loss when a person starts minoxidil does occur but after 2-3 months it usually stops. It can produce facial hair in women, in fact, when my sister used it, she saw facial hair start to grow and immediately stopped it.
