After how much time can finasteride produce side effects? I have been told to use it for 6 months after my hair transplant

I have been prescribed finasteride after my hair transplant. Currently i am on 1 mg finax. I am scared about side effects such as low libido and body mass unequal distribution. Is 6 months a SAFE TENURE to use finasteride with outvside effects?.Can i go ahead with it. So long, 5 days have past.

You can see side effects any time from Propecia (finasteride) but most may see side effect after a few weeks of use.  Some may see side effects years after use.  There is no absolute.  Generally, if you don't have side effects after a few weeks, you will not likely have side effects.Most of the side effects that happens after a few days of use can be psychological.  If you are SCARED you'll get side effects, you WILL get side effects.

If there are side effects (2% of patients) then you will see it in a month or less. Usually if you don't have any by that time, you can expect that over time the side effects will not appear.  This is a conversation you should have with your doctor.

Usually after an month you will start to notice the side effects.  However for the decreased spen count you will not notice it unless you get tested.
