Recovery time of IPL burns on my forehead .

IPL burnt marks on forehead. Time to heal. MEDICATION. WILL IT BE NORMAL AGAIN.

These burns should be treated with local wound care. Permanent discoloration may be now developing and should be counteracted by application of Melarase creams and initiation of light chemical peels by an experienced surgeon. Best, DR. Karamanoukian Santa Monica

It is difficult to put an exact time frame on your recovery but it is extremely important that you be treating your skin properly at this point in order to achieve best outcomes.  I suggest seeing a physician who is experienced in the management of complications like this and making certain you have a good treatment plan.

This is very sad, in some instances this can be permanent. It may take 3-6 months to see the final improvement if it starts to occur.  The most important thing right now is to prevent any additional burn (ie sun protection).  See a laser expert for treatment.  Best, Dr. Emer.
