Thank you for your question. The sculpsure laser melts the fat cells. Over the next 6 to 12 weeks your body naturally absorbs these cells and removes them through your lymphatic system.

Where does the fat go?

Hi and thank you for your question! After a session with SculpSure your body goes in naturally eliminates the dead fat cells through your immune system.  This is not an immediate process and will occur gradually over a period of about 3 months.

Immune system carries fat after Sculpsure

Your fat cells are carried away by your immune system, and clearly naturally over a period of 2-3 months. The result are gradual, as cells called macrophages carry the fat to your lymphatics.

Eliminated through the lymphatic system

Once the fat cells are killed by the laser, the dead cells are naturally eliminated, the same as other bodily waste, by your lymphatic system. Hope this helps.

Great question that many people want to know!  After a patient has a SculpSure treatment, which permanently destroys fat cells, these fat cells are then removed naturally through the lymphatic system.  Patients have been so excited with this technology and are seeing excellent results.

SculpSure Eliminating Fat

SculpSure’s non-surgical 25 minute procedure uses light-based technology to permanently destroy up to 24% of treated fat in problem areas. Over time, these damaged fat cells are naturally absorbed and removed from the body, with results seen as quickly as six weeks, and optimal results typically seen at 12 weeks. The fat cells fall apart and are liquefied, thereby selectively destroying these fat cells. The disintegrated fat cells then pass through the liver. So your body processes it just like you ate a fatty meal, and it’s excreted naturally as waste.

Thank you for your question. During the SculpSure procedure, the fat cells are heated which causes them to detach from your inner tissues. Once they’ve been detached, the body considers them unnecessary tissue and will filter them through your body just as they would any other loose tissue or particles. The fat will dissipate naturally.

Fat clearance after Sculpsure

No one knows the exact mechanism of how fat is cleared but in general, the damaged fat cells are absorbed by the white cells (immune system) and then travel throught the lymphatics and blood stream to be processed by the kidneys and liver.

The disrupted fat cells are readily cleared by the amazing immune system are body's are equipped with.  The human body replaces and eliminates millions of cells on a daily basis, there is nothing to worry about with the clearance of the dead fat cells after a SculpSure treatment.

SculpSure uses a specific wavelength that targets fat cells. During the SculpSure treatment, fat cells are permanently destroyed, which are then removed from the body naturally through the lymphatic system.
