Answer: PRP and diffuse unpatterned alopecia? Englewood Cliffs New Jersey In my opinion, you should visit a hair loss expert to determine your diagnosis. They will perform a history, examination including microscopic exam and possibly blood work and biopsy. One must determine if you have a diffuse unpatterned alopecia or some other type of hair loss. PRP can increase the density of the hair shafts and provide regrowth in some cases. Hair that has been lost less than 3 years has a better chance of regrowth. Your hair expert must determine if your hairline is part of the alopecia or hairline that is maturing. Jeff Rapaport MD FAADRealself All-star

Answer: PRP for hair thinning Thank you for your question, PRP is ideal for hair loss.PRP treatments are great for stimulating growth of miniaturized "dormant" follicles, which ultimately thickens the hair appearance. These benefits include longer-lasting aesthetic improvement as well as a more sustained release of beneficial growth factors in the treatment area. I recommend having an in-person consultation with a board-certified dermatologist to go over your options.
